Appoint Recruitment - NEW

A new website by MK1 Design - Appoint Recruitment This site focuses on clean lines, whitespace and accessibility. The site was coded entirely in PHP and MySQL using databases to store user information and jobs that can then be applied for. The entire site has a custom built CMS (Content Management System) which means it can be managed entirely from Appoint Recruitment. All coding and design was carried out by MK1.

A.Y. Jackson Secondary School - NEW

A new website by MK1 Design - A.Y. Jackson Secondary School This was a complete re-design of the existing site with an emphasis on portraying a professional image of the school. The site is based entirely in PHP and MySQL with databases to contain school information and calenders. I wanted the site to be easy to navigate and also wanted the content to be enhanced with good photos of school events.

A new website by MK1 Design - Appoint P3 Training This site is for the training arm of Appoint Recruitment. As such it had to be designed in keeping with the look and feel of Appoint Recruitment. The site doesn't rely on any database driven content, but is coded in PHP. Again it offers the user a crisp online experience with particular emphasis on usability and accessibility.

A sound toy that uses the idea of the classic memory game, Simon Says This interactive sound toy is based on the real world children's toy, Simon Says. The original game had four lights that lit up and the user would then follow the CPU's lead. I have taken this idea and tried to create a more experimental version.

Percussive Piano

A sound toy that uses gravity to control a ball in a two dimensional space I wanted to create an interactive sound toy that used physics in some shape or form. Percussive Piano is a simple toy whereby the user can throw a ball in a two-dimensional confined space and hear the reaction of the ball against the walls and ceiling.

The idea behind the project was to create an online installation in which I could experiment with a specific subject matter that was represented by moving image.
